I do agree that nuclear energy is the "cleanest" out of the current options. However, they do bare an undeniable risk. and i am not talking russian levels of unreliability. more like threat in terms of natural disaster, terrorist attack or war. these fears will always lead to a high level of refusal. and understanding the green position on this topic is that they despise nuclear waste depots.
only time will tell. but i do have the hope that this war will wake up this young generation who tend to live in their dream world.

The Greens have been a disaster for Europe and for the climate. The refusal to use nuclear energy has lead directly to the increased usage of oil, gas, and coal as power sources, and Europe is largely unsuited for solar and wind power, except for the North Sea. Installing solar panels as high up north as Europe is completely pointless and just a feel-good gesture. Most nuclear waste is low-grade, with the high-grade waste being able to be eliminated. It's also not stored in leaky barrels on some junkyard anymore.
