The purpose of a parable is to Hide the truth. To most Christians the truth is hidden from them. To most Christians the truth is not given unto them, God does not give them eyes to see or ears to hear, if he did they would see and hear and repent. God does not allow them to see the truth.

If God gave them ears that could here and eyes that could see thy would repent. He does not give them this so that they will not repent. God wants to save all, just not right now. He saves some now and others later.
