Why? I worked for some electrical engineering research center or something for a few months. From my understanding there s always one guy who does 90% of the work and the others smoke and eat

There are dozens of free programming free resources thanks to github and similar websites. Learning electronics is also easy if you can put up with reading long pdfs but certainly worth it. I'd start with Sadiku fundamentals of electric circuits since it's really easy to dive in, then go with Boylestad Electronics devices. After that, choose a layer which you would like to specialise with.
