Seeing as Russia lost in Ukraine, I think it is the perfect opportunity for the Chechens to break away and finally gain independence. They have seen how weak Russia is, and Chechen culture is that they do not respect the weak, they only respect strength.
So I see Chechens breaking away from Russia in another war of independence very soon. Kadyrov might be "close to Putin", but he is a smart man and he knows the Russian army is incredibly weak.
Truly, starting a war in Ukraine and losing in a humiliating fashion has doomed Russia to lose Chechnya and likely Ossetia, Abkhazia to Georgia and Dagestan to Chechnya.

If Chechnya tries to break away without international support it will be 2nd Chechen war all over again. They will lose and some FSB puppet will replace Kadyrov.
The only plausible solution for an independent Ichkeria is global recognition, possibly by Arabs and provision of aid. Ideally all of the Caucasus would have to secede but I don't see Dagestan folding.
