NLAWs don't. The shaped charge shoots straight down- not affected by horizontal velocity in the slightest.

A shaped charge pointing down isn't positively or negatively affected by the forward velocity.
It seems like the projectile physically stuck the tank which it's not designed to do. The NLAW is a top down attacking weapon that flies above the point of aim and explodes the shaped charge down. Or in direct fire mode for use as anti infantry impacts on something and blows up with the second fuse that doesn't make a shaped charge.
