It's hard to say what's going on you are having to view the lies of one propaganda machine against the lies of another propaganda machine and compare the two lies together to try to get some small amount of Truth. Maybe Russia is really doing poorly or maybe they're going easy on Ukraine who knows? It could be a winter war part 2.

Even if you were facing an incompetent enemy you'd still want aid right?
We will have to wait a few more months to know what really went on. Personally I do think Russia military is incompetent it's been a decade since their last military engagement that doesn't mean they won't take Ukraine though. In the end Ukraine will surrender. Even if the war wasn't fought as quickly as America's Iraq invasion with a 100 casualties Ukraine will still become Russia's bitch.
