At the end of the day, if you are smart, motivated and make something of your professional self, you don't have to worry about quality healthcare. A "Gold Plan" with $2500 yearly deductible is $1200 for a family of four in my state (WA). If I still lived in Germany, I'd paying more than that for a plan administered by the state.
