DNR fighters are not your typical young draftee/contract soldier, they are regionals or idealists.

this is true, Mariupol is mostly stormed by DNR ragtag forces and chechens. Russian military barely involved.

desu the last confirmed actual military operation i remember was Hostomel airport. And yes, like 90% of prepared for this troops still in Russia/belarus, though about now rotation should have started. So far our military is mostly identifiying Ukrainian military objects and troops concentration and flying aviation/rocket/mlrs attacks on them.
