As an american how do you just keep getting phone plans, iphones, macbooks, nvidia 3070, starbucks, spotify and even get a 20,000$ loan to buy some 2010 3 series BMW?
Seeing the 20% inflation, no job security, world war, just complete economic collapse coming and food shortages, maybe even virus lockdowns in fall - how can you just go "now is the time for a new graphics card and a big loan for a 3 series BMW"?
Lets say you make 130k on some cooshy programmer job...if you lose your job your RENT and loans would erase your savings in 2 months. How...do you even live like this?

Here is what I noticed (I was actually guilty of this a bit also like 15 years ago). A lot of people are piggy backing on their parents now. So you have people just living at home while working... so instead of paying rent or bills it goes to what you are talking about... cars / computers / crypto or what ever. >How did I break out of the debt crap I was one of the few that mined bitcoin pretty early back in 2009. But before that I was doing the same thing... I was living at home working some shit job, and basically living like a teenager even tho I was 30 years old at the time lol. Which I think is the mindset for a lot of people now. And honestly If I didn't have Bitcoin money I am not sure wtf I would be doing - because everything is stupid expensive now... You are right. Even with a well paying job you will be in the hole really fast... I think a lot of people understand this and said fuck it, and so they just live at home even if they have well paying jobs. Kind of a shame really how the modern banking / housing system really fucked a generation of being independent

I and many others 3-4X'ed our money in the last 3 years with crypto and other investments. you took those initial 10,000$ and spent them on a BMW loan. Now i can practically pay half the payments on a brand new apartment where i live...and you cant even survive 2 months without a job.
