He and Kadyrov are know to know each other. Ingushetia gave away 9% of it's land to Chechnya. Why is Putin putting muslims to so high postions in Russia? Leaderships of Chechnya and Ingushetia, russian regions among those most likely to be separatist, are very authoritarian and dependent on kremlin gibs. So, putin is in this cucked relationship with people like kadyrov because being on their bad side means civil unrest. Why not? Russia really is multiethnic multireligious society. The muslim population is growing the christian population shrinking. At the very least Russia could be torn apart by civil war. A strong muslim leader could prevent that and Putin has always protected the muslims.
