They aren't really to do with sanctions on Russia, the inflation kicked in before that. Some of the inflation is transitory which is from lockdowns worldwide stressing the supply chain. A lot of the inflation is from Trump pressuring the Fed to drop interest rates to 0% and buy up corporate junk bonds onto their balance sheet to save the Dow Jones graph in an election year. Now it's time to pay that bill.
Sanctions on Russia won't have a huge impact, the world will just start changing trading partners. The same happened when China put Australia under sanctions (and we are still under sanctions). Did we suddenly stop sending commodities to market? No. We found new customers and China found new suppliers, we all changed trading. Ukraine is a breadbasket nation so its literally Putin creating the food crisis. Western countries will be fine, but imagine being an African country like Ethiopia with 110 million people and being priced out of grain market. We are on the precipitous of the biggest famine the world has seen seen since China's communist revolution. At this point it is completely unavoidable.

Prices are up partially due to M0 expansion, but also because there's been a massive domestic credit expansion to onshore the supply lines and invest into Mexico. US Oil exporters are shipping oil and gas offshore and Biden's admin is trying to romance and dance the Saudi's and UAE because they have some extra capacity but at the end of the day what is going to happen is any kind of famine that kills people in the most armed country on earth after a pandemic of all things is going to spell the absolute end of the Democrats and Rino's as an institution and may well end the dollar at the same time.
