Russia lost. Even with overwhelming military equipment, they failed to make any gains for weeks. They aren't even trying to cut off Ukraine from their infinite supplies of western aid, mercs and weapons. They scaled back to just liberating Donbas. They aren't even trying to make a Kherson Republic anymore. Ukies still have internet and TV and after 1 month of constant propaganda all have been brainwashed.
Russia started the war by invading their neighbor in an undeclared war after lying about their intentions for weeks. They then proceeded to get BTFO and bomb/shoot random civilians that they are supposedly there to liberate from nazis.
Ukrainians are responding by graciously taking in prisoners and at worst injuring some of them in the process. In other times, they’d be putting invaders on pikes.
No one has any sympathy for Russians. No one cares. This is what happens when you invade a country.
