Is it just me or are the political beliefs of "normies" becoming increasingly schizophrenic?

Is it just me or are the political beliefs of "normies" becoming increasingly schizophrenic?
I just got back from a friends house where they were discussing politics. These are people that I consider relatively open minded and who lean right. They seemed to be all over the place, just regurgitating things they've heard from youtube and podcasts and it was often contradictory. They threw terms around and applying them without seeming to know the definition. I wanted to chime in but the discussion was so disjointed it felt like I would literally have to lecture them for hours to correct things and explain my viewpoint. These same people seemed to have consistent worldviews only a few years ago. What is going on?

>Is it just me or are the political beliefs of "normies" becoming increasingly schizophrenic?
Yes. If you stay sane, the rest of the world seems to fo fucking nuts.

Yeah they are. Social media and the internet is driving everyone mental mate.
The average person has some sort of mental disorder, you're now the odd one out if you're sane.

>What is going on?
Obvious facts have been deemed to be hate speech. People are scared.

Yeah I'm thinking it is the overexposure to internet and social media without developing any critical thinking skills. It was really weird seeing my friends tonight just quote what they heard in a youtube video verbatim without even really knowing what they were saying. I knew they were doing it by the way they were acting.

Yeah and it is social media/the internet doing it. Humans aren't built to deal with all the challenges it throws up. It will ruin us. Ted was right.

Baudrillard wrote,
>“We live in a world where there is more and more information, and less and less meaning.”

This describes a state of hyperreality, which is our immediate social context. The media is constantly generating new simulacra which are typically built upon preceding synthetic narratives. The end result is a world marked by chronic ambiguity, where everything is described / over-analyzed yet nothing is understood; because there's simply too many artificial, contradictory narratives pushed out at once.

If you think it's bad now, just imagine how much worse it'll get once the technology is developed to broadcast news stories / advertisements / straight up propaganda directly to a person's skull. We're at the precipice of a "post-truth" society, and the abyss draws ever nearer.

I'm spooked senpai

What were they quoting?

I've heard "regular people" (for lack of a better term) beginning to say some odd shit. People like us probably hear more of it because, like it or not, normies know that we're different. Completely out-of-the-blue:
>have you noticed that more and more ads are filled with black folks?
>I swear it's like the President is trying to destroy the country on purpose
>I'm really worried about getting my kid vaxxed - I've heard some "things" (spoken very quietly)

They're beginning to ask questions about subjects that they've been potty-trained to absolutely ignore. It's beginning to strip their gears.

the average person is, and has always been, a mouthbreathing retard. that's why the government strong-arming social media companies into doing their bidding

It's hard to put faith in your government when the President himself can't even string a coherent sentence together

Fucking weird dude.
Normies have been functionally de-educated and it's not going to end well for them.

They're so fucking late to the party it's amazing how deep they've been able to bury their heads in their retarded sand.

Most people believe what the media tells them. And what the media tells them has become incoherent. So those people also start to seem incoherent.

this is by design

>Is it just me or are the political beliefs of "normies" becoming increasingly schizophrenic?
Its almost like... like they project or sum shit.

>The basedence juice works
>But only if you take it
>The TV told me blood clots, myocarditis, and heart attacks are good for me!
>I need the second basedence juice shot now, but the first one still works!
>I need the third basedence juice shot now, but the first one still works!
>I need to heckin booooost but the rest of the shots still works!
>Inflation is good for me even though I have to skip meals to afford gas!
>Nazis is heckin bad except when they're in Ukraine!
>HHHHNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG

These people have been trying to justify the above for the past two years straight.
Everytime they wake up with their heart pounding, they'll lie to themselves and say it wasn't the heckin basedence juice.
Even when you shoe them their bodies MAC Address, they will deny it.
They are breaking at the seams.

Yeah, but I THINK, deep-down, they know that retard isn't pulling the strings - but they'll never admit that, because it couldn't possibly be true. I tried to take the conversation in that direction with two people and it ended fast.

If you rely on the TV and google for your answers, you won't get anywhere. They have REALLY blacked out any true news sources.

That's the problem with letting npcs have unlimited access to the internet.

yeah ive noticed in any topic if you have any clue what's up and what's down and some normie starts talking about it it's painfully obvious that they're just regurgitating nonsense that they got from xyz youtube video or article
its to the point where it's infuriating to read things online. trying to find any information at all beyond a preliminary understanding and you realize that every single webpage is just circular quoting each other
journos need to get the rope.
