On their average wages and salaries had access to cheap homes, land, education etc. Millenial and Zoomers average salaries can't even afford us a one bedroom shoe box in a decent area of the city.
Boomers sit around talking about their investment portfolio's how their houses have gone up 500k and turned essential housing into a way to enrich themselves like fucking kikes, whilst they fuck the younger generation and make them buy property at the top.
The boomer then asks us why we haven't bought something. How come so and so's kids with rich parents owns a house but user doesn't.....just go to the bank with your average shitty 60k salary and borrow 800-1 million user.
>average shitty 60k salary I mean, 60k isn't a dogshit salary. that's enough to put money away with. it's a challenge for a lot of people to even get a job that pays that well in a year. unless you're talking about australian monopoly dollarydoos in which case you're probably talking like 40k US which isn't great
either way, yeah, fuck boomers.
Christopher Gutierrez
What if the lithium batteries catch on fire and lock you inside?
In Australia a small plot of land to put a pod house on will start at 200k in some shit bum fuck region, 350k in a more premium bum fuck no region, 450k in a region full of bogans (rednecks), 600k for a decent region, 800k for a place close to a major city, 1 million for inside the city.
>15k house reality: >70k house >20k delivery fee >80k plot of land (that won't even allow your tiny "house") >40k utility hookups >5k in permits and land surveying
Brayden Foster
lmao good luck in australia dude we are fucked but thankfully the entire economy will crash, i am looking forward to it. no mercy for boomers, for they have shown us none.
Lucas Collins
well sounds like you prolly need to shop around. Maybe you can find a broker that can help you find cheaper land. It looks like these homes will have everything you need like electricity and internet via sat.
imagine paying rent on land for your mini home.
William Reed
oh yeah, The business cycle is supposed to go back down between now and 5 years.
Ian Martin
This is such a dumb take. You know damn well zoomers that bought houses early years ago would sell just as likely as a boomer if their house doubled in value.
This fake altruism bullshit needs to go. Anyone in the situation would take the calculated action and do similar. No shit boomers bought decades because they’re decades older.
I can’t wait for zoomers to become their parents and have their children ridicule them and call them boomers for the same shit.
Ethan Smith
I need to be in the city to work unfortunately if I choose to move out of the city I will be earning below poverty wage. 60k in Australia is above poverty limit you can afford food, car etc but priced out of owning a home. I need to stay in the city and hope to be promoted one day.
Brody Gonzalez
It's literally just a camper but more expensive.
Gabriel Hughes
Zoomers will not own houses though they are priced out they will be renters mostly.
Henry Hill
This is the downside of living on an island. Land is more scarce. The other side is you have a smaller space, why isn’t public transit an option to commute to work?
Australian public transport is as shit as America's. High speed rail will eliviate some pressure but our boomer politicians keep saying its to expensive and just keep spending hundreds of millions on roads that take 10 years to build.
Andrew Barnes
This is bullshit. Zoomers aren’t priced out of homes. They are priced out of living in the posh areas they love to party at, yes. But not out of the suburbs, they just refuse to settle there and expect to afford a house in Santa Montica or LA while working as barista displaying their pronouns.
