Not much, been here for about 10 years since I was in my early 20s. As a Turk and a Leftist I find it peculiar to read into people who disagree with me at best or absolutely hate me at worst.
I did not change my opinions that much however. Most of my beliefs remained the same. But I will admit in some parts Any Forums convinced me. Gun ownership for once.
And I vehemently believe most people are born into ideologies. Genetics play a very important role in your religiosity, your political opnions and so forth. just as it plays a role in your height and iq.

That is also interesting isn't it. I been to USA as an exchange student and this one college republican was smugly lecturing me about how they have freedom of speech and how I would be arrested for insulting Erdogan.
I told him that while that is true that we cannot insult president, that seems to be the only thing that you are allowed to say in usa. Anything besides politicans is a no go. Say the wrong thing about race, iq, lgbtqa issues and it is over.

Oh it is, Turkish left seems be way more open about talking about iq, immigration, radical islam than liberals I met abroad. I start to understand why many authors on left hated liberals.
