Yfw Russia only has ONE fucking working aircraft carrier

>yfw Russia only has ONE fucking working aircraft carrier
>It was commissioned in 1990
>All others were scrapped, decommissioned or sold to China/pajeet
>Half the shit on it doesn't work
>Been in more accidents than saw combat
>Costs LESS than Putin's yacht

Why does it look so dirty?

One of the only boats to use solid fuel

It’s driving through the Indian sea

Whats with all there propaganda threads attacking specific parts of russia's army tying to make them seem weak?

There is no way an actual person would want to make a thread about russias air craft carriers
Thats some shit a shill would think to do, or be told to do

they're focusing on donbass

The problem isnt that they have "only one AC".
The problem is that they have AC at all. Such ships are a waste of money, unless you are trying to project power against far-away shitholes.

Even having one is a waste of money for them, what would Russia do with a fleet of carriers?

Because it doesn't run on clean nuclear power, it uses dirty diesel instead.

Who gives a fuck
Check out that sweet ramp

Having at least one is nice for small scale glownigger ops.

Whatever this is. It looks dangerous.

Reminder that superpowers don't put ramps on aircraft carriers.

actually i think russia's single cuck ramp aircraft carrier belching smoke as it breaks down mid mission is rather hilarious and would make a thread about it any time.

>Them Duke boys done it again. Not only do they got Boss Hogg on their bad side but now they jumped the General Lee off Putin's garbage barge.

russia was never known for its navy. notorious for barely any seaports. why invest heavily in a navy in this case?

Jesus Christ, is that thing even nuclear powered? Fucking kek.

kek

u have ur flag upside down man

Why, it's almost as if Russia has a completely different naval strategy or something.

Russia is a land power, not maritime.

Besides, this war just proved that navy is useless in a modern war. Ships get taken out in a day.

>this war between two counties that share a massive land border proves that navy is useless
God-tier brainlet

>Besides, this war just proved that navy is useless in a modern war. Ships get taken out in a day.
True. Can't wait for chinks to launch ASHM to sunk all US carriers. They can't defend from those missiles.

Why would they need one?
They're literally in the centre of the Earth. Stretching from Europe to Asia. They can launch jets from bases and target any nation without one.

They dgaf about climate change

Naval inferiority is why we haven't had a real WW3. China is at least trying but their navy is inexperienced and has never really been tested in a global operation. Russia's access to the ocean is just plain bad, and they've more or less given up on being a naval power.

During World War 2 both major factions had powerful navies, particularly the United States and Great Britain on the allies, and Japan and Germany on the axis. Both factions had the means of contesting control of both oceans.

The more that China begins to throw its weight around the more likely it is that we will see calls to allow Japan to formally re-arm its military. Even with its current post-WW2 restrictions Japan's naval forces are world class, hence why China bitches and moans about Japan's helicopter carriers looking too much like aircraft carriers. It's not for nothing-- Japan is clearly keeping their manufacturing in shape for such a time as it's necessary to build actual carriers, and that may come sooner than many people think.

In a war scenario, I foresee China being forced into a neutral position for a whole host of reasons, the biggest of which being economic, however their navy would not be able to compete with the combined allied forces anyway. They are too inexperienced and their machinery, while newer than Russia's, is of inferior quality. Another war between world powers would probably be focused specifically around Russia, and most of it would be land locked.

None of this is taking nukes into consideration, however that is actually a pretty unlikely scenario. No-one knows what the full extent of the US's missile defense systems are, or if Russia's missiles are capable of getting past them. No-one on either side actually wants to gamble on the red button. Russia would undoubtedly threaten to launch if they were losing a ground war (we already see it in Ukraine) but if they were actually planning Armageddon, they would not announce it.

Aircraft carriers are obsolete.
That's a training platform.

Hypersonic weapons put carriers to the bottom.
