Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has rejected the demands made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky against Hungary in the European Council, because they are contrary to the interests of Hungary, Bertalan Havasi, head of the Prime Minister's Press Office, told MTI on Friday.
He said that the President of Ukraine had asked Hungary and Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to do two things. The first is to vote for the extension of sanctions to the energy sector and for Hungary to stop buying gas and oil from Russia. And the second was that Hungary should allow arms shipments and send weapons to Ukraine.

You know, when a local online newspaper wrote an article about this, an established one, people in the comment section started to wish Hungarians the death. One wanted Russia to consider invading Hungary instead of Ukraine and they felt outraged by the mere fact, that Orbán wouldn't allow arms shipments through Hungary. They called the Hungarians traitors and threatened them that they will never forget. It was an NPC kneejerk reaction, but I was shocked by the severity of it. How quick they allowed themselves to call for violence and war, while they were calling Putin a madman for invading Ukraine.
