There is actually a lot of good music out there, but for the past 10 years even accessible mainstream pop and good quality both traditional and alt rock are being sidelined in an organized way by radio, other media, and the major record labels. It is a deliberate championing of negativity, ugliness, and blackness coordinated at the executive level. There's a good redpill screencap about this from about 2-3 years ago that centers on MTV's role. Maybe someone has it.
I think we could do with a music whitepills sticky here, though someone would just shit it up. I'll try and post some examples when I get my phonefagging ass out of bed.
