Yeah, people overlook the fact that course offerings at community colleges are generally pretty shit. You can get basic stuff like electives and calc, biology, gen chem, etc but if you want a degree that immediately starts with specific courses like CS then there's nothing. Hell in general higher ranked colleges love their custom shit that doesn't transfer to or from anywhere. Plus you wasted 2 years taking easy courses that were supposed to cushion the harder shit and now have 2 years of ballbusting if you have a harder degree.

those courses are not for "cushioning" they are pure propaganda. One day I hope to torture and kill a person responsible for pushing the left's anti-science pro-peer agenda.

college only costs so much here because of how antiquated our colleges are. community colleges cost like $120 for 3 units on the west coast while colleges that give you the "full uni experience" cost thousands per unit and have hundreds of admins and retarded facilities that do nothing to advance your education or career. the only reason they can afford this obscene expenditures and charge out the ass for money is because the government sponsors the colleges, gives the students non defaulting loans, and the alumni pledge hundreds of thousands to these schools. if they had to actually set market prices for the students attending and didnt rely on loans for the students footing the bill, colleges would be much more streamlined towards education and unit packing the same way community colleges are. if college was free, it would just make the problem worse where students would fail every course with the colleges not giving a shit and the admin problem expanding. dont even get me started on jobs that have nothing to do with education requiring a college degree.

its impossible to convince people who have worse economic prospects than you (non college educated) and people who DID pay for their education, to foot the bill for you without resorting to guilt tripping. why should joe high school dropout pay for some vet or banker who accumulated a massive debt when they have way better chances and opportunities in the economy? why should responsible and frugal john have to pay for retard who blew all their money taking extra semesters and the full ride package at a party school and is 50k in the shitter? these guys got to experience way more than the responsible spender who already had to pay their own way through college and now they are expected to pay for people who will never ever reciprocate that generosity and likely will go into debt again? it just doesnt make any sense.
