It's a trap. They are noticing people are watching what they say and wording thjngs differently as well as using safer search methods. So they want to give a false sense of security. Basically they thought they knew everyone but now understand they miscalculated. If everyone stops behaving online like everything is always monitored their data will be more useful in order to control and or predict us.

lol no it wouldn't Merrick Garland announced a new domestic terrorism unit specifically for the purpose of spying on americans like last week. Also, if you haven't already read the NewsWeek article, you should google "Signature Reduction."
plus this wouldn't have an effect on non-state intelligence actors like Palantir, Stratfor, Black Cube and others whose names we don't know. or the DHS fusion centers.
going by the rule that whatever the government might say, the opposite is likely true- this is not a good sign
