Should governments have the right to record any communication between individuals?

You have a duty, not a right, to suck my dick

I don't know about NZ but in the USA this gets filed under the Constitution, Search and Seizure. A warrant is required.

They take what you allow them to take.

I think privacy is important to those who want it.

What's the answer?

Guess we're living in days of rapidly evolving memetics. ^^

The sign is a subtle joke. The shop is called "Sneed's Feed & Seed", where "feed" and "seed" both end in the sound "-eed", thus rhyming with the name of the owner, Sneed. The sign says that the shop was "Formerly Chuck's", implying that the two words beginning with "F" and "S" would have ended with "-uck", rhyming with "Chuck". So, when Chuck owned the shop, it would have been called "Chuck's Feeduck and Seeduck".

The wheel of memes endlessly turns. Also, no ones expects the Totalitarian Tinsel League.

Morally/ethically? No
By their own laws? We have a 4th amendment and wire taps and online recordings ate a direct violation of it. So no but they tend to violate our rights anyway.

So did you just sleep through the PRISM leaks?

the principle of American political theory right there

People have rights not governments, the governments work for us not the other way around. Sounds like we need to all government this as it’s long overdue.

No. They can do it if they can but a right? No. Such a right would make privacy illegal.

LMAO oh dear. Imagine saying this in 2022.

No. gnupg.org/

Why would they, when corporations do it for them and then they just collect it from the corps
