Unlike Javelins and NLAWs, the MANPADs provided are proving rather useless. There haven't been any shootdowns in the last week or so and the planes that did get shot down were almost overwhelmingly done by SA-8s, SA-9s, SA-10s, SA-11s and SA-12s. Even when the Turks tried to shoot down a Russian plane in Syria years ago with a MANPAD, the Russians easily escaped and then returned and pancaked a building on top of like 40 Turks, they just aren't that effective unless you're using them to shoot down helicopters.
