God damn we have a short sighted and stupid government. In next week's news: "Russia announced they are only willing to accept Ruble, Yuan, or gold in exchange for oil. The Euro and US dollar will never be accepted for trade with any country." And our own currency will suffer dramatically. Saudi Arabia is already trading outside of it, and Syria is looking strongly at doing so as well. These are just the beginning dominoes. If they start a cascade effect on other countries like Iran, China, or India it could realistically have catastrophic effects for the dollar.
