God rewards people who seek after him. Today you can find him!
You don't need good works or even to be a good person, because the Bible says that nobody is righteous enough to go to heaven. If it were based on works we would all fall short.
But God has bridged the gap for us, and we can cross over that gulf that separates us from him because of our sin, through faith in JESUS CHRIST, which is the only name whereby we can be saved.
