Kinda figured but publishing isn't exactly like the film industry or something like that. Costs are so much lower. Seems like there must be small publishers who could manage to swim against the stream. I don't want some uber nazi lit or even anything politically oriented. Actually Tolkien, Tolkien was part of the post-WWII reactionary wave that swept Europe. You misunderstand the concept of literature in general.
Rand claims that Roarke is an individualist, but everything he does goes against that. Rand intends to portray the message as being pro-invididualist, but she doesn't understand what she thinks and writes, so the subtext of the book indicates an extolling of the virtues of one facet of communism over another. This is purely by accident, and a literal reading of the book would lead to a misunderstanding.
It's like reading a book written by a girl who cuts herself because she claims it is a new form of amazing art. But you, knowing that it is written by a damaged individual, can parse the fact that she is lying and coping with things she does not understand. The text claims one thing, but actually states another, in reality.
Your level of analysis would presume that whatever the author says, is what they actually think, deep down, which is simply not true. Rand was a communist, but was unaware of this fact. Everything she writes praises communism, but she thinks she is praising individualism, because she is deluded due to having poor male companions in her life.
