>Be Putin >Kvetch about NATO being too stronk >In reality NATO is withering away for years >Start a war with Ukraine >NATO is now more strong and united than ever >Even Germany is rearming now >Even Finland and Sweden are unironically thinking of joining >Estonia is demanding more NATO bases >Russia is completely fucked and turning into a failed state >Putin looking like Elvis in his final few weeks >Kyiv STILL isn't taken!

>>In reality NATO is withering away for years
while this was true, the fact remains is that they were within a year of Ukraine installing NATO American "defensive missile" systems.
These defensive missile systems could easily be converted into offensive nuclear platforms. That would mean America could theoretically bypass MAD principle with first strike capability. Some Generals believe since missiles are less than 5min away from Moscow they would not have time to react thus if America wanted they could wipe out entire Russia bases.
America could win a nuclear war. Now you see why this was a existential threat to Russia.

Why not just use the Baltic states?

> Some Generals believe since missiles are less than 5min away from Moscow they would not have time to react thus if America wanted they could wipe out entire Russia bases.
This thing about the war being about 'Ukraine potentially maybe having missiles' is a Kremlin meme.
>That would mean America could theoretically bypass MAD principle with first strike capability If he was that upset over the idea then he'd be invading Estonia because they can have missiles placed closer to Moscow than Kharkiv. And don't forget they're actually a NATO member unlike Ukraine. The war was ultimately Putin's big gamble based on this idea of Ukrainians passively accepting Russian rule (something which was repeated on Any Forums all the time and as we can now see it turned out to be more Russian state nonsense) I'm starting to think he believed it himself.
That's not to say he was happy about Ukraine potentially having missiles years down the line either, but that was not the number one reason, it's just a take that the Russians are pushing because it feeds into the 'how can we blame America for everything' narrative which is happily eaten up by far leftists and also some rightists. Putin knows the West has a lot of dissidents in it right now who go for anything he says (same with Xi Jinping pushing 'America is racist to african americans' in public meetings with Blinken').

We don't have biolabs where they make nuclear microbiological weapons

>Some Generals believe since missiles are less than 5min away from Moscow they would not have time to react thus if America wanted they could wipe out entire Russia bases. lmao, USA how many thousands of nukes and ballistic and non-ballistic missiles again? do you even know how actual proper attacks on countries are conducted if you really want to destroy their military targets?
I am not talking about Russia-style major fuck ups and getting bogged down btw, I am talking about proper destruction of your enemy. You guys have no idea.
Look at a map you stupid mongrel. Ukraine is not any closer to Moscow than Latvia or Estonia. You have to be a literal sub90 iq retard to buy into these Russian ramblings.

All baltics will be dealt with as well. We just hoped for a political solution when those were accepted into NATO. Not anymore.
