There's lots of synergy between our economies and we have in common the fact that western countries are always fucking us over and that we don't really compete with each other for regional influence, simple as that. India and China issues are very minor, the big boys in Europe hate each other a lot more and they're still in the EU. Theoretically, an economic zone consisting only of the BRICS countries could be completely autonomous from the rest of the world. Food, tech, manufacturing, energy, brics has it all.
