Texas and Florida Secede Civil War

What would be the likely actions of the US government if Texas and Florida voted to secede from the US? I suppose some federal agents would continue to try to assert dominance within those states. Would the US government attend to coup the state governments of Texas and Florida, and essentially start a war with the two states?

Are there nuclear bombs in these two places? If revolutionaries can't get nukes. Without nuclear deterrence, independence from the U.S. military is nearly impossible.

The question is how the US government would react to such moves. Would they try to coup the state governments of Texas and Florida, or would they peacefully allow them to complete their secession? Something would have to be done about all the federal prisoners in those states, and I'm not sure how the feds would react.

This is a civil war thread.

not for long, thanks to you

If the US gets a further left president next election cycle, then it would be very likely secessionists could win a democratic vote in Texas. The governor at that time would just call a vote, and people who want to secede would be more likely to come out and vote. It would be a pretty easy win, but since the US government has so much invested into Texas, they would likely cause some trouble. Whatever bullshit the feds would try to put Texans through would look really bad, since Texans did vote to leave, after all. What would happen to all the federal prisoners? Would they be transferred out of Texas, and would Texas buy those prisons if they are owned by the US government? What would happen to all those military bases? Would Texas buy them and reimburse the US government? Would whatever Democrat is currently president have a Gorbachev moment and allow a peaceful secession?

The most polarized states in the country are still like a 65/35 split. It's comical to me that faggots like you think two states Republicans win by a few percentage points are going to secede without an internal civil war as well as an external one where the USA crushes them.

If this happened (unlikely)
Many other souther states would probably follow suit. It's possible then that other states in the plains would be inclined to leave as well, causing a large rift. But from its onset it would cause infighting within those states. Militant groups would spring up seemingly-from-nowhere, where they've actually just been waiting for exactly such a moment.

These groups would vie in a power struggle while feds come in and assert power. The states that could curb their own guerilla rebels would stand a decent chance, and the fed would likely be unwilling to engage in a longterm war with its own people and instead seek diplomatic peace through large changes in policy and bribery via resources/political power. Texas would likely be one of the most stable of these states and stand the best chance. Florida would be fucked utterly hard by American navy.

Stop larping about it and DO IT, fat boy.

>Would whatever Democrat is currently president have a Gorbachev moment and allow a peaceful secession?
The feds would carpet bomb entire cities before they let them leave peacefully.

Almost the majority of Texans polled during the 2016 election stated that Texas should secede should Hillary win, that number would certainly be higher during the next presidential election when an much further left Democrat is running for election. Texas could just hold a vote one day on whether or not Texas should secede. The people who would want Texas to secede believe that Texas should secede more strongly that people who don't want Texas to secede, so they would show up in greater numbers for the vote. It would likely be a very large majority who vote to secede, and it would look very bad for the US government to try to use violence to prevent the peaceful secession of Texas. The US is supposed to be a federation. There is a reason why we call our governmental districts states rather than provinces. States should be allowed to join or leave freely.

they will just military to kill all separatists, guns will do nothing against modern army.
or they'll just sanction you so you can't produce anything and make you North Korea type country, but at least North Korea has China and Russia, you gonna be surrounded by hostile countries.

>Majority of Texans said they want to succeed
[x] doubt
I remember a poll from early teens that was like 75% against

>Sane person: "Secession? Whose the retarded faggot who thought this up? Lol, more food for the trash can."
>Migger: "WOAH Dude heckin heck yes! Once I finish my Goya beans I'm mailing this survey right back to 'MagaFaga Inc.'

Is there any greater cope than ignoring the results on an election to instead turn to a """poll""" that cherry picks its demographic as heavily as possible and has a test group of ~200? I'm also curious what poll you're referring to? I'm assuming RedStateSecession but am curious what you're basing your delusions on.

Texas as a country does not exist. In order to exist as a country, they must annex land from the US government, which supercedes state authority. Annexing territory is a hostile act of war. Wild that I have to explain this to you brainlets in every "now that we're all obese and 30% less white, the South will rise again!" Thread

Those Southern states would have voted to secede through a highly-democratic process and very peacefully. If they tried to sanction those states, then they would have no other option but to partner with China and Russia.

Look chink maybe in your shit hole where you guys run over your own people with tanks and shit that might work but over here we don't nuke ourselves.

Texas here. It has been my dream all my life to live in an independent Texas. I don't even see people from states outside of the Deep South to be my countrymen; rather foreigners.

Secession is extremely unlikely anytime soon. States are way too dependent on the federal government and you're delusional if you think milquetoast conservatives like DeSantis or Abbott would ever secede

>Those Southern states would have voted to secede through a highly-democratic process and very peacefully

They will change that law as soon the possibility of secession becomes reality, they will just claim you as their territory and block any export or import of goods with Russia and China

After you win this war in a few weeks, I hope Russia allows pro-Russian foreigners to move there.

If you do break out into independence, you'll just become a white Freud.
