a few years ago I was kayaking in a stream and a C 130 flew over head. I heard it through my earbuds, which with music, usually seal and distort most outside sound. Airbus 380s and 747s regularly fly overhead going to dulles, the fuckers are loud and I've seen Chinook choppers a few times. But man, the sound of that 130. My chest clenched up. Pure panic. You feel like a mouse in an open soccer field with lions on every segment of the perimeter and a falcon looking at you overhead. Is that how the afghans and iraqis felt? I read somewhere they handed out prozac like candy to deal with it.

I'm in Southeast and they have been taking off and landing here. You can't even land certain size jets here because the runway is so short. I'm going to complain cause they are noisy.
