Both. On both sides of the Bering Strait, very few, and absolutely fuck all else. It's essentially wasteland. If things go right we might manage to build infrastructure between them that's only usable for like 4 months a year. and technically operable for another 2. I'd love to see peace and prosperity between our countries for once.

But it isn't. Witness the picture of the coastline of Ellis Island. Island supported by bedrock, so no subsidence. That is the only reason why any place seems to be "sinking". It’s mostly that type of work yeah, but there are a lot of engineers doctors and other high management types that are here because they make BANK in comparison to what they’d be making in say cali or Texas or NY. There are TONS of people from asia, Latin america because the work here pays infinitely better. They move up here and harsh it out like men because they get paid alot more and get to enjoy more things with that despite how biting and shitty the weather is. The pajeet Indians are like that too.
