It's a bad idea in the case of most drugs. People barely have enough willpower to not smoke or not drink coffee. Actually, what am I talking about? People can't stop gambling. Imagine being addicted to throwing money away. That's how little willpower the average joe has. Any drug with any mind melting capabilities is gonna wreck the average person.
Whatever drug gets legalized, you're gonna see a huge spike in junkies that are addicted to said drug.
The only positive outcome of this would be that it could offer a way to defeat the under-the-table dealers.

I don't know. I don't do drugs but I do know that people are dying from laced drugs. Maybe it would be better to legalize all this garbage and give the junkies clean stuff that won't inst-kill them.

North Carolina here. Can confirm even though Marijuana is still illegal there's a loophole in the law so Delta-9 (actual THC, not d8 bullshit) is sold in edibles at almost every smoke shop, and Marijuana is plentiful anyways. We're all high as fuck over here.
