Something has gone wrong with Generation X in the US. Some of them became successful, but a lot of people in their 40's and early-50's appear to be falling apart at a physical level. They just seem 'gone.' Their minds don't seem to work right. Their behavior is chaotic, erratic, and leads to secondary problems like poverty, homelessness, addiction, and other signs of personal failure.
What is going on with them? The number of 40-something 'burnouts' seems to be rising, and more than a few of them are already dead from poor lifestyle choices. How did the 'promise of the 90's' lead to THIS?

Being a blue collar millennial, I have seen and interacted with a ton of gen X'ers. They all went one of two ways, either the career path or the prison path. The career ones are all living in houses with families or renting apartments and living solo as workaholics (a trait that they picked up from their boomer parents). The prison path ones are mind fucked from years of heavy drugs, alcohol, and all the accumulated trauma that comes with years of living in absolute poverty and chaos or jail. These ones are the worst scum imaginable. They will steal from people who try to help them. They are violent and unpredictable and the women of that generation are disgusting whores who will fuck anybody with $20 or a baggy of meth to spare. Most prisons are full of gen X'ers and older millennials. I'm 36 and most of the arrests in my city are now people about the same age as me, or they are gen X'ers and this isn't their first time going to jail, it's usually the 4th, 5th, or 7th time for them. There is no hope for these people and they are a blight on the community. Many of them had kids and then proceeded to fuck them up and that's part of why so many gen Z kids are whacked out on drugs or in gangs and shit. I think we just need to start taking the trash people out of society and quietly disappearing them behind the woodshed for the good of society. If you are 50+ and completely useless to society because your mind and body are gone then you are just a liability to be mitigated through liquidation. It's not personal, it's just business.
