there's no more oil on the planet, it's run out
>so low?
compared to what? current production is near record highs.

The global oil deposits have run dry. That's why we're so close to WW3.
low production, high prices, soaring profits. how hard is that to understand?
Compared to consumption
the entire bureaucracy was reassigned to harass and limit oil production in january 2021

w-well, if it's science then I guess it's ok...
Burisma
Why'd you cut off the last two years, oil bro?
it's all being used to power the stargate
tap everyone else's reserves dry before you tap your own

Check the executive orders
Same reason your domestic testosterone and sperm production is so low.
Boomer here....
> 1973-ish, arabs cut off oil
> freakout, gas lines
> US policy changed as a result
> Drill wells in US, then cap them
> Source there, can be turned on in a moment
> buy all foreign oil first, if it's cheap enough. Use up their supply before we start to use up our own
> if they raise prices too high, flood the market with our own until they get the idea and lower the price.
to force US political involvement in foreign energy markets as a long term political strategy
Thats bullshit, oil is abiogenic, well that have been dry for 30 years fill up again.
The global communists want to suffocate the parasitic financial sector of the United States which gets bail-out because dollar is world reserve.
Self flaggelation, fucking over our own economy to prove how "woke" we are. I think the hope is that virtual signaling becomes a form of currency
America uses 20 million barrels a day.
"Uinta Basin, Colorado and Utah 2010 Assessment
A comprehensive geology-based assessment of in-place oil, regardless of richness, in oil shales of the Eocene Green River Formation of the Uinta Basin of eastern Utah and western Colorado was conducted in 2010.
The oil shale interval was subdivided into eighteen roughly time-stratigraphic intervals, and each interval was assessed for variations in gallons per ton, barrels per acre, and total barrels in each 36-square mile township. The Radial Basis Function extrapolation method was used to generate isopach and isoresource maps, and to calculate resources. The total in-place resource for the Uinta Basin is estimated at 1.32 trillion barrels. This is only slightly lower than the estimated 1.53 trillion barrels for the adjacent Piceance Basin, Colorado, to the east, which is thought to be the richest oil shale deposit in the world. However, the area underlain by oil shale in the Uinta Basin is much larger than that of the Piceance Basin—3,834 mi2 vs. 1,335 mi2—and the average gallons per ton and barrels per acre values for each of the assessed oil shale zones are significantly lower in the depocenter in the Uinta Basin when compared to the Piceance. These relations indicate that the oil shale resources in the Uinta Basin are of lower grade and are more dispersed than the oil shale resources of the Piceance Basin."
Estimated 1.3 Trillion barrels under just one US state. Thats enough oil, under current usage rates for the entirety of America, to last 178 years from just one US state. That's not counting the natural gas released by drilling, either. By then, you'd think we'd have something better.

Exactly. And in a perfect world, we would simply turn on Keystone. Giving Canada the oil dollars is far better than sending them off North America.
The gay jews need to sustain their petrodollar, money laundering schemes, dramas with their cousins from Middle East, ... so this sort of thinking isn't kosher.
And worse, coal and natural gas is avaiable everywhere, and there are even more viable and local sources of energy being ignored.
Two reasons
1. The US shale boom of the 2010s was poorly managed financially. Most companies operated at a loss, and modern oil companies do not want to return to that. They are risk adverse, not quick to chase oil price increases, and want to return shareholder value.
2. On the back of number 1. If you're in the oil industry and the current admin has stated multiple times that they want to put you out of business, what do you do? Def do not go all in on new wells that's for sure.
The best way to increase domestic production right now is government subsidies/bailouts. No different than farming/airlines/covid relief. Otherwise we're heading 5-8 dollar gas at current demand levels.
Most likely what will happen before then is forced demand crush by the Fed, so I wouldn't worry about gas, just worry about staying employed.
Saving the domestic oil for after peak oil. We'll be the only nation on Earth with any oil left. We'll ride out the apocalypse while the rest of the world collapses and we'll emerge into a golden era run by Americans for the next 10,000 years.
Also the overall energy efficiency of everything can be increased without a lot of effort, this is also prevented for obvious reasons.
