Can someone explain to me why Russians, and Slavs in general for that matter, why they love cats? I have yet to see many dogs from them hence why I ask.
Yeah, I've never been to Stockholm, but I've been to Helsinki, and it reminded me of St Petersburg, and I always assumed Helsinki and Stockholm should be similar. Also weather/nature is probably fairly similar.
Petersburg has a lot of good qualities, it's close to Karelia for nature, people go to islands in boats and have fun, lots of music and life in the city –it's not just some dead regional city, it's truly a center. Moscow is like 50000 times faster-paced, bigger, more "cosmopolitan world capital" city, if that's what you're looking for, but Saint Petersburg is definitely a nice city for life and real estate is cheaper.
Most Russian Moscovites can't afford anything better than a 1 bedroom in the city, they move out if they want to have a family, they inherit something from grandparents, or they rent. Real estate there is way too expensive to own for normal life.
Renting isn't bad though, so you could try renting there for a bit and in St Petersburg for a bit before committing.

Nah. You don't need to. We're doing fine. Our army is (somewhat) professional and we don't even take volunteers from Russia (a couple of my friends tried to volunteer, were told to fuck off). And that war is hell. Like it or not, but it's not shooting mujahedins on pickup trucks. Hohols have tanks and artillery. And they are fighting like it's their last days. So even if you managed to go, you would have a decent chance of dying without ever shooting hohols.
