All of their airfields and anti air positions were destroyed on the very first day. Russians have a missile and air superiority and all they have to do is call in targets, but the problem is they are surrounded by meat shield and they can't just destroy everything like they did in Chechnya because they're the same blood. This is basically a hostage crisis
They're also losing to Russian troops purposely using older equipment while Ukies are fucking using NATO supplied modern weapons
Most technological things Ukraine has is only Javelins

Russia controls everything, air, and navy; the only thing that's left is the ground, and we all know that Russia has got way more tanks and other land forces than any other country. Russia's been preparing for a while, way before the invasion actually happened.

actually the Russians have technical superiority (or so everyone thought). At least on paper Russian equipment (especially tanks [which should outperform even the most modern NATO tank on paper] and fighters) should be better than what Ukraine has. Also NATO isn't supplying their newest equipment to Ukraine, but older ones which the Russians have technical knowledge of anyway.
Putin spend a lot of money modernising the Russian armed forces and is sending his best equipment. He even had the chance to test it in Syria. That's also the reason why Russia is winning. Although NATO strategists believe that Russia should be able advancing faster with their equipment.
There has been supply problems and Ukraine has been surprisingly successfully in their raiding tactics (which Russians learned to somewhat counter by now), but that still doesn't explain all the delay.
That beeing said Russia is winning for now (all Ukrainian Counter-attacks failed thus far, which was costly for them)
