Well, they got developed in the past century. Excellent timing coinciding with the technogical advancements of this century. Having a peaceful small nation with open trade natural resources and protection from allies seems to be a recipe for success.

Atheism only really manifested itself in society over the past 30-50 years, peaking today. It will go down soon because it's a nihilistic worldview with no higher aim.

It's the other way around, the poorer and more unfair a country is, the more religious people become because there is no other hope than God. People in richer countries have safety nets that prevent that.
