Should I become an electrician?

It's a field that's always in demand. Depending on what kind of electrician the work isn't very physically intensive. A lot of problem solving goes into being an electrician

Well, I'm starting a home inspection company from nothing.

In the process of buying tools. I'm not paying 6 grand for a sewer inspection camera like the spoiled fat and rich boomers tell me. I can't afford it.

So many spoiled boomers in this industry it's insane. I'm going to eat their lunch.

I feel you. It's an aging field, and they have 0 respect for the new generation. Every company i know of is short on hands and foreman bitch about a lack of new and willing gen z hires but doesn't want to pay apprentices decent wages and treats them like shit. Knew a girl who had to go to a diff company because she could not afford the gas driving 100 mi/day

I'm buying picrel for like 600 not 6000.

If it breaks I'll buy another one. These boomers are knocking on retirements door after living on easy mode.

I have the grit and (relative) youth at age 35. I'm going to get what I can from them and beat them with low operating costs and hard work.

Shut up Ben. You know you got family money.

If you are very driven and have good connections in your local area yeah. If not you can make the same doing less shitty work.

Just be a neet like me, I have a law degree and drink a fifth of vodka every day

I wish you luck fren. Focus on good customer relations and building connections. Word of mouth and local advertising are key imo

Just started working for a plumber never had any experience prior. Any advice to not fuck up?

Residential or commercial?

marine electrician reporting in. Don't buy a boat anons unless you can fix it yourself.

Sounds like big bucks if you're working on rich people private boats

Whats the worst trade?

roofer

Go back to /diy/ you obnoxious retards

Idk what the worst to work in is but i fucking hate sheetrockers. They're all thieves and love fuckin over other trades

>but when I was your age I was making 9 an hour and got by just fine

I've only ever seen extremely toasty Mexicans do it.
Imagine being in 90 weather ten hours a day, and having to use that flamethrower

Non-welding grinder

Janny

That ain't healthy m8.
Lawbros like us fall for the inebriating jew all the time. It's a habit and hard to get out of.

When I finally gave it up it was like someone switched back on a light in my brain, i felt great.

white people used to do it

I like roofing, I get a tan and work out and get paid! It's pretty bad on knees and back though.

wtf is your problem with ferrules? eurofags have to use them or their houses burn down

The one you don't enjoy doing, nothing worse than wake up every morning to do something you dislike.

Shearing sheep pays good, keeps me active, more jobs than I can keep up with. I hear slaughterhouses are screaming for workers but no one wants to work anymore.

And your house that you bought for 70k is now 330k
A bag of chips is now $5

Do you have your own sheep?

Shit flows downhill
Payday is Friday
Boss is an asshole
Don't bite your fingernails

Nah. Gotta shear to earn the money to buy the land to feed the sheep. Picked a bad time to follow my dreams.

It definitely can be. I'm making 21/hr at my actual job but private side jobs directly for the boat owner can easily be 50-65/hr. A lot of it is unfucking stupid shit that previous owners have done.
