Tbh you can do most modifications yourself, the hard part is only machining parts and bending pipes. They can outlaw shops but they can’t outlaw knowledge. A friend of mine rebuilt his own engine, turbo’d it, did all the exhaust work, reprogrammed the ecu in his garage, once the ecu blew out he basically installed an aftermarket one and had the dealership come down and reprogram his key to it. A bunch of other stuff. All of that is fairly illegal, esp the 100 shot of nos, but who the fuck would even know if he did that in his own garage?
