Is it possible to be 100% self-reliant in 2022 America?

Is it possible to be 100% self-reliant in 2022 America?

probably if you own property with a well

Yeah, almost no one I know has 10+ Acres of land with self-reliance such as gardens and farm land, except old man Willy and he gets gibs from the government to destroy crops to cause store price hikes. Blackrock, Gates, Bezos, Musk and Zuckerberg own a-lot of farm lands in muttland.

Yes it is
But it would take 100% of your time and energy to do it
You're best doing the most you can to not need the system to survive
And work your way away from it over time

From what I've gathered, YES, but it's so difficult as to be nearly impossible, and almost certainly not worth the effort. It might sound strange, but apparently if you use ZERO electricity from the city, "they" will punish you however they can. Give you a hard time, investigate you for shifty reasons, maybe just WACO you.
Even without the blatant oppression I think 100% self-reliance is a meme, it's just ego. Being able and prepared to survive if you HAD to is great, but to purposely forgo all the conveniences of modern society out of just pride is not smart.
That said this thing's a spectrum. No one cares if you grow or barter 100% of your own food, and no one cares if you have ten generators and three wood stoves for emergencies. It's only when you try to tap out of society entirely and also have a lot of guns that you'll get the feds breathing down your neck.

>Yes it is
No it isn't without devolving technology somewhat.
Self sufficiency means no outside trade at all.

"Self reliance" is a meme. Youre going to have to buy something from someone at some point.

It would be better to get some like-minded people together and build a monastery. Split the responsibilities.
Religion will keep the lazy communists out.

Any book or guide for home farming ?

You have to be more than self-reliant, you have to produce a surplus so you can pay your property taxes. Simple as

I own 12 acres with a well and house and septic. Everything you need. Fertile land. Fences for animals. Etc. Raising my own food is a fucking meme! I grow a little garden and have a greenhouse. But otherwise everything is too expensive to do on a small scale. Might be different in southern burgerland though

How would you pay the $5k yearly property taxes on that much land? You can't print your own money.

Taxes.

There are levels of survival.

Do you fags really pay 5k taxes? My taxes are like 800 bucks a year

>Blackrock, Gates, Bezos, Musk and Zuckerberg own a-lot of farm lands in muttland.
That was such a fucking midwit move, farmland can't sustain itself as-is; EROEI is falling, add supply chain issues and fuel concerns and you just bought a dust storm at the peak mania

Varies from county to county. I pay dirt personally, but there's a lot of jewish trickery regarding how the tax is assessed in places more in demand

Dedicate some time to it and you'll get a hang of gardening for financial sense. In the PNW, organic tomato sauce was 10/qt. At that price, I canned the equivalent of $250 worth of tomato sauce without really even trying. This year we have plans to can our year's worth of tomato sauce, and we're raising chickens this year. You don't need to do it all at once, but if you start picking little things to reduce your dependence on globohomo and make a plan and following through, it will really help. It's a damn fulfilling lifestyle and is worth the labor.

>Is it possible to be 100% self-reliant in 2022 America?
My family has been mostly self-sufficient for six generations, but I can tell you right now you will *never* be 100% self-sufficient unless you become increasingly primitive. There's always going to be some shit you can't make or realistically grow enough of to feed yourself.

You can absolutely get to a point where your water, electricity and the bulk of your food is self sufficient though and you're not overly reliant on the system, but you're still going to need to buy some staples, trade, buy new vehicle parts, welders, generators, solar panels, electronics, LEGO etc

Spend the week being really mindful of the things you use and just ask yourself could you do without it, could you make it/grow it (and in volumes large enough to sustain you), could you fix it etc

yes bump
Christ is King

The absolute best way to learn is by trying, failing, then finding solutions. Many guides are so general you're better off not using them.

>It's a damn fulfilling lifestyle and is worth the labor.
I just want to grow stuff, lads.

No, you depend on the government for your HRT

you'll get a lot more rodents, badgers, birbs, skunks, etc. which is fine, they'll bring in foxes, coyotes, etc. you'll also get flies, and bats, more birds, you'll find that the earth turns itself and fertilizes itself with all these little animal feet and poops running around.

right, such as no john deere tractor because you can't make your own gasoline

Now is the perfect time of the year to dedicate yourself to growing something. Pick your one favorite veggie, and try growing a couple of them. I started out with potatoes in 5 gallon buckets in my driveway. You can do it, fren!

you can work an acre by hand and steel, especially subdivided plots like OP's pic, you wouldn't need or even be able to use a tractor because the harvest times are all different. in any case, you could have a local petrol refinery for the neighbourhood provided you had an oil well.

You aren't going to support a cow year round on that much land.

Wood gas.

I've already planted a bunch, actually. My zucchini broke the surface just today.
This isn't my first garden

Get a fucking horse
Wood gas...
