Asians started out small when the CPR railway was built, Chinese made tea instead of drinking germ interested water, so they kinda stuck around. They remained a small minority since. Then in the 70-80s when hong Kong started to look more and more Chinese, Canada ( a British dominion) took a shitload of the rich and skilled workers to Vancouver. There is like near none mainlander Chinese in Vancouver( save maybe richboy students ). But recently "Asian" means east Indians, god I cannot stand them.
