This was a reply to a retard in the last thread but I'll post it here because I feel a lot of you retards are thinking the same thing If you can't earn a liveable wage in Australia then good luck in a country like Russia lmao. A full time job at minimum wage is almost $50k a year, and there a heaps of low skill jobs like working for landscapers and painters that pays close to or even above $30 an hour. All the under 30s living with their parents has nothing to do with the job market (best it's been in ages especially in lower skill sectors due to covid measures keeping foreigners away), the cost of living or the wages. It's to do with people simply opting out due to a lack of will to live. This is the real issue. A dead dating market and an inability to get a mortgage on a decent place without two incomes, you and your partner. Young men just can't be fucked, and I don't blame them. But all your complaints about the economy are laughable if you compare Australia to any other country in the world, ESPECIALLY Russia lmao. But even compared to Western Europe and the UK we are doing so much better and have a far higher standard of living and access to economic opportunity and wealth generation.

Since moving to Australia from Europe 10 years ago, I’ve been staggered by how money, asset and property obsessed so many upper and middle-class Australians are. Every other conversation is about how to grow your super fund, how to add more properties to your investment portfolio and how to get more rent from your tenants. When did Australian society become this unpleasant?
I have a colleague at work who will, without batting an eyelid and without a hint of self-awareness, talk about adding more properties to her investment portfolio, which is already about 5 or 6 strong, in front of younger colleagues who struggle to move into their first home. She has no clue how offensive she sounds, and she’s not alone.
Has upper socio-economic Australia always been this awful? I love my adoptive home but the vicious undercurrent of self-interest at the expense of everyone else is just so unpleasant. Views?
The plan isn't to move to Russia and works it is to develop a passive income stream here and then move to Russia. I'm not going to steal their jobs.

>Anywhe similar to the Gold Coast? Anywhere like the sub-tropics? Seems unlikely. Plus the whole war thing will probably explode and it's not likely to be the place you want to be when that happens... but this place is completely fucked now so idk.

Night cunts. Gonna cry myself to sleep about being forever alone. Keep getting rejected by shielas when they find out I'm unvaxxed, getting pretty demoralising.
Australia is in a massive housing bubble. There are two stratas to society now, those with property and those without. But Australia has a history of being a 'classless' society. This obviously isn't strictly true by any means, but compared to Europe and even the US it's definitely true. Anyway as a result we have not formed the proper class etiquette that you Europeans have lived with for centuries, and our newly minted property owning class is taking the same happy go lucky, jovial, open and friendly attitude to discussing their wealth gains that they take to every other topic of discussion such as sports or the weather. They are enjoying the status of being in the property class while still being ignorant of the reality that this status is created, by definition, on the reality that there are have-nots when it comes to property.

Okay well that's a great plan honestly. If you can develop a passive income stream in Australia and then move to a cheaper country that is perfect. Only I would consider picking a country other than Russia since they may well (or have?) been kicked off the Swift system and getting your AUD into Russia and converted to rubles may on a consistent basis may prove difficult. Plus the ruble is heavily undervalued right now due to the conflict and will inevitably bounce back at some point in the future so any cost of living calculations you do might be moot in a few years time.
