Putin doesn't seem dumb enough to take Ukraine overtly, most likely they'll use the independent states as a staging ground to get their own puppet elected after ousting ours. But that doesn't mean that those states shouldn't be allowed to secede, just that both sides should combat the gay ops of the other in the region, at least until Ukrainians get fucking sick of it and implement an actually neutral government.
