I am. From a western perspective, he seemed to have a solid legacy. It's unfathomable why he and the top Kremlin officials would launch this war and even more so in how poorly it seems to be going for them and the RF.

Aside from the people who've been invested in Russia for the last decade, I think we were all surprised.

Russia is a shithole but don't be fooled that they can't obliterate entire cities if they wanted to. Not sure why putler hasn't even used his new stealth jet bombers.

They said nothing certainly. But there were few screens from Chinesse state owned media with switching narrative about conflict. Also, Kazakhstan (who are now even closer to China) prefer to take their side instead of Russia on General Assembly and the Uzbekistan is openly refused to accept DPR and LPR as independent states

I just don't know how Russia bought into its own hype. They obviously have performed way below expectations, but even prior to this invasion they should have seen the writing on the wall and recognized they weren't ready for this "special operation".

They launched it thinking NATO would fracture and/or America would be disinclined to lend this much aid. I think they forget we've had a solid generation and a half since fighting "the Evil Empire" and some people want to destroy someone who deserves it for once.
