Robocallers are testing cellphones

I'm a list somewhere and they are trying to confirm me. They call me and then there is silence if I answer.

robots calling npcs

So fucking weak that boomers and our government are using this.

That’s why I keep trying. That exhaled breath you take, it sustains me. Your nostrils are everything to me.

Nice. You posted something that was a little too redpilled. This is your first step.

I’ve been having this happen to me lately as well. I do the same and it’s always a robot voice. I usually wait until it says something and I yell “NIGGER” or “HOPE YOU DIE KIIIIIIIIKE” Feels good and I’ll continue. Got one of these earlier.

I'm tired of these "Robohomos" nigger knocking on my phone.
We just sit in silence then they always end the call

Everything tied to that industry including email spam is a scam. They are all degenerate faggots.

That’s just the glowniggers. Congrats you made it to a higher level threat list

It's crazy how big the banks of numbers they use to make the calls are. I think whomever has done it has been purchasing old PBX systems with large banks and re-purposing them. It's baffling that no one seems to know where it's really originating from.

I look at the numbers in ways most people don't have access to since I work with phone lines directly and I tried looking the number up to see the carriers--but many of them haven't ported anywhere in decades and there isn't a lot of consistency between which carrier is hosting them.

I guess no one really cares. The scale of it all is the strange part to me. Some of it is call centers that operate in third world countries that simply call to do their independent scams.
But these testers aren't like that. They're humongous. It has to be some sort of entity doing it but it just doesn't make a lot of sense on how.
Maybe it's google. Maybe it's a weird government thing to test the lines. Who knows, maybe it's AI waking up and testing things.

don't be shy silly goose :)

why the fuck do you answer the phone from numbers you don't know?

anyone important or urgent will either leave a message or text you and confirm who they are saying "it's so and so I had to use person you dont know phone to call"

anyone relevant should already be in your contacts anyway.

waiting for call back from employers

you mean you didnt give them your email?

pls. for your own sanity

lrn2smartphone.

a potential employer Will leave a message.

you may be hard up for a job but recruiters know to leave a message and even if it takes a day for you to get it they will play phone tag with you if you're qualified.

The robo dialer just shotguns phone numbers. When someone picks up it redirects the call to a waiting operator. That silence is their attempt to connect to an operator. If none are available it just drops the call.

The dialer doesn't know how often people are going to pick up so it over saturates rather than risk having operators idle, so there is a high probability there won't be operators waiting to take you call.

Answer the call, listen to their script. Get them to go as far as possible. Then just mute the phone and listen to them say "hello? hello? sir."

It's a lot of fun and it costs the company money because they had to pay the robo dialer for the successful connection.

quit answering calls from # you dont know unles your job is to answer phones for a business

PROTIP: Robocallers don't need to call you to test a number. I work for a major telecom company. There are services that can do live checks and report back a ton of info about that number, all for much cheaper per number than making the call.

The random calls with hang-ups are:
1) a lot of times, and I mean... a lot.... it's real companies you deal with, creating new messaging flows for valid reasons, but fucking up testing and as a result spamming you.

2) The robo dialer just shotguns phone numbers. When someone picks up it redirects the call to a waiting operator. That silence is their attempt to connect to an operator. If none are available it just drops the call.

Porn - always relevant.

Total silence or a bit of rustling noise in the background? Maybe some faint bird sounds? I ask because I've been getting those calls for about a month. If I block the number, they start calling from a similar number. The voicemails they leave are like the above, no one talking but sounds of maybe someone moving around. It's weird.
