Russia has completely destroyed Ukrainian military command. they can't coordinate an offensive. they have about 60k troops surrounded near the Donbass region. they'd have to fight their way out.
Russia isn't doing as bad as the media is saying. they're mainly facing opposition from irregular forces within the cities that are basically trapped.
