Now that the war is slowing down. We need to talk about the /chug/ general - crowd. It really is facinating to watch them function. First I began to think they are just russian dissinfo agents. But after browsing /chug/, I came to the conclusion there is very little info in those threads. So it can't be it. Then I thought they could be russian diaspora just rooting for their team. But I know from personal experience that russian expat patriots, or vatniks, don't have this kind of nonchalant attitude towards the war. Russians are a very emotional people, they will get angry from gore pics if you post them. They have a very specific style to them that the /chug/ people lack.
They like anime. They like anime a lot. They seem to be obsessed by it. They are also coomers. They will always comment on a even slightly pornographic picture of anything. Be it a woman, a man or a child. The lewd pictures that are posted are almost always anime pictures. I know for a fact that russians have a very large anime enthusiast scene, maybe larger than the west, but most russian anime consumers are really apathetic to anything to do with Russia. They wouldn't really be interested in this kind of behavior.
/Chug/ seems to also be indifferent to race. Usually on Any Forums this means that the user is white. Sure there is the usual racial-slur, but only non-whites obsess about being white.
Also they are detached from the war. Hence the name comfy. It's more like a sports game to them than a war. I do admit that going to the other war general, /UHG/ it's full of angry people, but the anger seems to come from the heart. Lot of countries who have had historical dealings with Russia. Also no anime and coomers, buts lots of gore and really dark videos from the war. The war at it's purest.
So people from /chug/. They are Detached from reality. Hypersexual, propably bisexual men. Very child like in behavior, propably some pedophiles. Very inwards turning community. Lots of knowledge of internet culture and anime. Schizophrenic posting style, 'anything I don't like is dissinfo by the (insert group here). Really bad at OSINT, not really interested in it. The main goal is not to follow the war or root for your team, it's just to hangout. This makes me think they are alienationised from their real life communities. They seem to be all over the world. Propably tankies, but not nessesarely leftist. Ideologically unhinged.
The posting speed on these threads is extremely fast, but it seems to be from only a handful of people. You could propably count the people and form a specific profiles on them.
/Chug/ has a lot in common with the Syria general threads. It's propably the same people, so they have been at it for awhile. They been at it for years so that means there are propably some +30 year olds. It's almost like a cult.
The amount of coping is unbelievable. It's not just the regular, 'shut up jew/CIA/WEF' shit. For example, they construct really elaborate stories about how Ukraine blows up their own tanks, to do videos, even through they believe Ukraine army is generally lost already. It's been three weeks of this.
So in short they seem to be, white, non-russian, unhinged, outcast, bisexual pedophiles and propably trannies as well. Did I miss anything? Anyone else facinated by these freaks?

I visited both /ugh/ and /chug/ since they were created. Here are my observations. Seen some changes occuring in the last week. /ugh/ moral is going down, presumably because they are realising that it is impossible for Ukraine to win against Russia, something that has been blatantly obvious to anyone in /chug/ from day one. There is a lot more visual propaganda in /ugh/, but this has steadily going down, where in the early days there was a constant stream of victories, eventually it became obvious to anyone that most of them were fake/propaganda. In /chug/ it is mostly reverse, very little visual propaganda, presumably because there are less victories captured on camera, phones are not allowed in russian military, so what there is is from Donbass militias. But in the last week there is a steady increase in visual propaganda that shows Russian Liberations.
and then there are the maps, /chug/ is far more interested in maps, because Russia is gaining ground each day, /ugh/ largely ignores them or goes with road maps, because that makes their cause look better.
