You should not say that when Russians started by taking Crimea after signing a treaty they broked(!) that would give all Ukrainian arsenal to Russia in eschange of Russia recognising their borders.
They are just not backing down. War escalated when they invaded Ukraine.
I love the Russian people (who are also against this war as they were taught since birth that Ukraine was a brotherly nation) and this is not their fault. The Russian administration is at fault for breaking their signed contracts, invading Crimea, and now the rest of Ukraine.
