No. Taiwan has military. They can't take it. They can only besiege it. But even then the Chinese navy would need to be 20x the size. The Taiwan scare is literally a meme. It will happen 10 years from now yes. but not now. There is no current activity to build up the necessary military size to invade a well armed island.

Taking Taiwan by force would be a total bloodbath. If they did it by military, there's no way they could do it without hundreds of thousands dying. It'd be a real crossing the Rubicon moment. Vietnam, Japan, Australia, Korea, Thailand and the USA would be on maximum alert and ready to box China in to make navy maneuvers hard.
Maybe they could win, but it's a pyrrhic victory.

No, not even the US could do it without significant losses. It requires months of buildup and naval blockade while carefully probing and bombing targets. China will be there in about 10-15 years where they can consider it, but at the moment they just dont have the required naval capabilities.

The US would become ww2 all over again if they realized they could not keep up with 2 fronts. You are right but china would still have to fight a strong american force nonetheless. And all the US pacifc allies: japan, australia, nz, south korea. China will have to play 5D chess to take controll of taiwan. Using military force won't help them right now. They should at least wait for the end of the second biden term to invade. The US still has a lot of resources and infrastructure to burn before crumbling.
