In terms of what happened at the airport, not sure we'll ever know for sure. But the situation seems to be something vaguely along the lines of VDV turn up, beat whats there which is barely anything, get pushed back into woods, they return by the next day and retake it. With bits of contension being how many died during the counterattack, and if they regrouped with northern forces before retaking it.
The biggest oddity is the video of a Ukrainian pilot going to the airport the morning of the 25th and it being in VDV hands. Only footage from Ukrainians I remember was some short stuff of aircraft doing runs on the place lateafternoon / evening of the 24th.
