There won't be a coup. Make no mistake, Putin can still frame all of this as victory so long as he wins control of everything east of the Dienper an Mariupol. Ukraine would be split east/west, and the western half in NATO, but Russia would have undisputed access to krimm and Putin can go there and wave the flag and laugh at the degenerate fat gay cockholes in the ukraine half of ukraine. The part russia controls is effectively sterilized, de-industrialized, and becomes a very large battlefield/borderland zone for Moscow which is what the goal was all along. The military names a captured orchard in sir putin's honor.
The only time a coup happens is if Ukraine somehow fights Russia and takes Crimea back, but this is unlikely as Putin would actually use nukes to rape Ukraine (and all of Europe) for Crimea. This goes to show how stupid he is because the west would never forgive him, but Crimea.

Depends on the size and need, your country doesn't have a lot because it's small whereas Russia probably has 2-3 transportation logistics generals just for truck movement, and Putin likely ignored all of them when the current invasion was proposed last year.

So long as Russia has the land Russia wants, a little "fog" never hurt anybody. The later consequences from it can be dealt with by assigning infantry to the bread lines, and giving infantry better access to better food stocks the kremlin uses as well. China does this already.
Also the rest of europe would be fucked and this would be something Putin would claim as a victory as well.

Russians can hide inside their bunker commieblocks and wear gas masks outside. Water contamination can be reduced to a tolerable level and the consequences (cancer, birth defects, literal sterilization) can be easily hidden through propaganda - just as the US did with it's uranium mining in New Mexico vis-a-vis indians or atmospheric testing vis-a-vis Utah (where all of nevada's fallout went). But unlike the US, this won't be viewed as a huge mistake or a disaster it'll be viewed as the necessary cost of the war effort to defend russia against the big bad west. This is especially true if Biden decides to restart American nuclear testing, in which case all of this would be 100% justified as a hedge against a modernized American nuclear program (nevermind the fact that it is already modern, but we're talking about russian propaganda here not anything connected to the real world).
